May I Recommend…
I love to read, but like most of us, I don’t have nearly enough time to do it. I like it when someone recommends something they think I would like. I like it even more when it turns out to be something I really do like, and that is the case with what I’m going to suggest to you.
Both of these books hold extremely valuable lessons for those of us on a spiritual journey. Whether the concepts they present are new to you, or they reinforce what you already know to be true, they are what I would consider to be must reads.
The first book, “Dying To Be Me” by Anita Moorjani, is about 6 years old, but the authors’ recounting of her near death experience and the way it changed her life is timeless. I’m not going to go into the details about her NDE, I leave that for you to discover when you read the book. What I would like you to focus on as a takeaway is her attempt to describe the indescribable feeling she had went she transitioned to the other side and realized that we are all limitless, eternal beings that have chosen to live out an earth incarnation in these tiny bodies for learning purposes. Most of all, she emphasizes that our lives here are meant to be enjoyed, not suffered through, and somewhere along the way, we’ve lost sight of that. The book is an excellent, excellent read.
The second book I would like to recommend is more recent, and is titled, “The Boy Who Knew Too Much”, by Cathy Byrd. The author is the mother of a young boy who turns out to be the reincarnation of Lou Gehrig, the baseball player from the early part of the twentieth century. Ms. Byrd never believed in reincarnation, but when her young son has knowledge of Lou Gehrig and his life that no one else could possess, she turns her thinking around. A very edifying read about past lives, and the effect they can have on our current lives.
The third thing I would like to recommend is not a book, but it is something else that can help in lighting your path on your spiritual journey. It is a 52 week self improvement program that was authored by my friend and mentor, Barb Ruhl. You can see a preview and sign up for the program entitled, “The Power Of Self”, on her website at WWW. BarbRuhlHealing. com. It’s a year long program that let’s you work at your own pace learning about self-love, self-awareness, self-everything you need to lay a firm foundation for moving ahead on your spiritual journey.
That’s all the recommendations I have for now, but they cover some very big spiritual topics, and are well worth your time.
As always, love and light.
